Do You Have A Cannonball?

I do!

It weighs approximately 4 lbs and 4 oz. and it fits perfectly in my hand.

All I know is that I'm never losing it again. I told Hubby that it would probably be worth more if it was a meteor and he said "How do you know it's not a meteor?"

I don't know what the heck it it but I do know that I'll never lose it again!

Does anyone know anything about cannonballs?

I do!! I happen to know that they were shot out of cannons. Sometimes even out at sea on pirate ship. Hehehehe...I'm glad you found it though!

I am not an expert on balls, although I carry some with me at all times! Go figure! LOL!

Where in your house did you find it?

To answer the question, they were made of lead and were used for wartime purposes.....of course.

Hmmmm, cannonballs. Let me see. Checked the rock garden and garage, now I'll go to the internet. Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannonball says: it's ammunition...they're good.

Civil War Outpost http://www.civilwaroutpost.com/16.html?m7:cat=%2FArtillery:nonested says: It's worth $$ IF it's a mortar. Does yours have a little hole in it? Can you drill one?

Monkey Man says: Are you sure it's not just a shot put?

Have fun reading your answers for a bunch of smart asses. Love ya!

Now all you need is a canon and I bet you could then increase your trick or treat results by 10,000%

Beckie, Thank and hugs!!

Brian, Me too! Smiles!

Otin, Glad you have some! Thanks!

Matty, it was actually in a box labeled "bedroom" in my shed. I think that funny! I checked in my treasure chest for it and even the cedar chest. I knew it wasn't in the house after I tore apart the laundry room and my closet. I found some kitty litter box liners though. Our last cat has been dead for about 2 years. There you go! Thanks!!

Monkey Man, I'll check out the links! Thank you very much!! You rock!

RxBambi, I'm going to be a cannonball expert by next week. ??? Thanks and hugs!!

Peeking Rabbit, I'm going to have Hubby make me one!! Thanks!!

I don't have anything funny to say about the cannon ball other than I think it explains a lot. about you. and that is why I came running over here after reading your comment.
I have to wonder though, did your cat drown? Because I know how fond you are of letting your pets go for a swim, hehe.
You crack me up. love you kiddo. xo

Monkey Man, Hubby doesn't think it's a shot put because he said "It's too old." We're going to get with our antiques dealer friend and see what he thinks tomorrow. Thanks!!

Joanna, Thanks anyway! Hugs!!

Diane, Love you too! I sent you an email. Hugs!!

Maybe it's one of those things that was once on the end of a chain.

Cannonballs?

They're hard to ::snort:: come by.

You can only get them from a male cannon, you see.

Wendy Hawksley said...

Ok, cry.

Um, are you going to run off and become a pirate now that you've found your cannonball? Beware the scurvy, arrrr!
