I swear this is really going on at my house.
Since I can't watch even 2 minutes of the news or VH1 anymore, I turned the TV to the History channel today.
They were re-modeling ex President's houses and at one point they showed some Civil War memorabilia. That got me thinking about a cannonball that our kids found on a piece of property we used to own, not too far from here.
I can't find it anywhere. I asked the girls and Hubby and they have no clue what I did with it. I don't have a clue either
I lost the cannonball.
Unfortunately, this is probably not the weirdest text that #1 Son will ever receive from me.
Hey #1 Son, You made the paper! Do you know what I did with the cannonball? I can't find it Big surprise? Love you
(I wrote big surprise because I spent most of yesterday looking for the 2006 Golf Yearbook.)
He writes back: What is the cannonball? I don't know what you're talking about.
Me: Found at Pride Rock? (The name of our old property)
#1 Son: Oh you actually mean a real live cannon ball! I thought you were talking about Middle Sister or something. I have no clue where it is though, sorry.
Okay, in my defense, I've never referred to Middle Daughter as a cannon ball, I never called her an it and I've NEVER LOST HER!
I was hoping that I gave it to #1 Son because he has cool swords, fencing foils and he even has a boomerang in his room. But, I didn't give it to him which means I lost it and when I start looking for something, I can't stop.
It's really pissing me off!
I'll blog about it when/if I ever find it. Right now I'm going to turn the house upside down and I hope it doesn't hit me in the head because it's heavy.

Now there's a first. A lost cannon ball. Only you Mom. Only you.
One of your funniest posts. Ever!!
I hope you do find the cannon ball. And it doesn't hit you in the head. Or drop on your foot.
Haha! This is awesome! But...how do you lose a cannon ball? Okay, I don't know why I should ask this. I lose everything all the time!
you lost a child!?! lol.
just be careful not to trip over it...smiles.
It's in the last place that you had it. I promise ;) LoL. A cannonball..I'll never get over that being the rarest object ever misplaced. Ever. So good luck finding it! Swiftly too!
I'm exactly like you in that once I start looking for something I can't stop. LOL!
much love
Check your rock garden. That's where I would keep my cannon ball. Either there or in the garage under some random pile of useless stuff I have carried around with me for 30 years.
I am so not sure whether to laugh or cry...
